Roof Cleaning in Surrey and Across the Lower Mainland
Moss, algae and lichen thrive on Lower Mainland roofs. Left alone they hold moisture against shingles, shorten roof life and make a home look neglected. Kiwi Cleaners is a Surrey-based team providing roof cleaning for homes, townhouses, strata buildings and commercial properties across the Lower Mainland and Fraser Valley.
What Our Roof Cleaning Includes
- Moss, algae and lichen removal using low-pressure methods suited to roofing materials
- Black streak and stain treatment to restore an even roof colour
- Debris clearing from valleys, edges and around vents and chimneys
- Gutter and roof-edge cleanup so material washed off the roof does not clog gutters
- Cleanup of walkways, patios and garden beds below
Why Roof Cleaning Matters Here
Shaded, treed properties in North Vancouver, Coquitlam, Port Moody, Maple Ridge and Surrey stay damp for much of the year, which feeds moss growth. Gentle cleaning removes growth without the risk of shingle damage that comes from harsh high-pressure washing, and it helps a roof last longer and look better before you sell or repaint.
How We Clean
We use a soft-washing approach, applying a cleaning solution that lifts growth and then rinsing at low pressure, protecting shingles and the granules that shield your roof. We protect plants and surrounding areas during the clean. Tell us your roof type and number of storeys when you ask for a quote.
Where We Work
We clean roofs throughout Surrey, Langley, Coquitlam, Burnaby, North Vancouver, Maple Ridge, Delta, Richmond and the wider Lower Mainland and Fraser Valley.
Frequently Asked Questions
Will roof cleaning damage my shingles? No. We use low-pressure soft washing rather than aggressive pressure washing so shingles are not stripped of their protective granules.
How often should a roof be cleaned? It depends on shade and tree cover. Heavily shaded roofs may need attention every few years, and sunnier roofs less often.
Can you clean gutters at the same time? Yes. Roof cleaning and gutter cleaning are often booked together.
